card and envelope I made....

this card is from this months Memory Works Express Kit. It even has glitter....

inside and out. I used the score tape and glitter and burnished it.

not only am I doing glitter but I am experimenting with it!!!

Roxanna and I were sitting around "creating" with paper last night ......
and out of the blue she said......"if you went 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 with the main box couldn't you put four of
these in here....?" with my Scor-pal......I am totally into boxes.....
so ....the answer is "YES!" and how cool is this?

I ran out of things to alter so......

I went to EBay.......and for $13.00 I got this....it covers a newspaper.....it needs some serious sorting.......and I am already seriously already inspired ......gotta get the pliers and metal cutters out and have fun for the first part of the altering .......just had to share......some of this was NEVER pretty but it could be now........maybe

I created today after all!

this is probably the first Halloween type card I
have ever come up with on my own.
I am trying to embrace new ideas.....
.....without conflicting with my beliefs
While I am trying to embrace the Fall/Halloween season...
(which I have not been able to do comfortably in the past)
...I am finding I can do that without embracing Halloween as a holiday.
Did that make any sence at all?

this is just me with a "digi" heist.
why?..... I dont know but while I really
really like some of the digital stuff out there
I just so love the traditional hands-on-big-mess-way.
I can remember where I "found" found this one and there would be such
a learning curve involved :)

last year sometime Christina did a demo of this cool collage
this is my third one....
this time I didn't put in all the squares
just used the scor-pal and some ink to hint at some squares...

the paper is SU and I once again embossed some of that
packaging material.....and then sewed it.....

I am not sure if showing the "creating"area is a good thing.....but I decided to not crop this and show some more of my "creative" space!!!!!!
I used some of the papers from my Memory Works Expressive kit. the inset pic of the sign kinda evolved.....I ran a piece of (that-impossible-to-get-into-)packaging that everything seems to come in through my big shot and an embossing folder called twigs....then I wrapped it around the matted picture.
used up some OLD basic grey rubons......right now that great orange is my fav color........

so this is the WHOLE picture and the product of the clues

this is just one of the boxes I have made that I am going to demonstrate on Friday
we will be calling it a class..... :)
I got inspired from the SU idea book.......on page......well
right now I dont know which page but it is the one with the hostess paper set in the front....

We camped twice at Camp Island this year and
I got to do some micro beach combing
My grandma used to do art with "beach-treasures"
this was my first attempt....except when I was a kiddo and created
with Gramma. She was way ahead of the times...doing altered art before altered art was cool.

two months ago I signed up for the Memory Works Express Kit! I felt there were so many new and exciting things out there in the paper art world that I needed a taste of it. I have NOT been dissappointed. Last month just has a few dribbles of things left. One paper I cannot bring myself to use yet cause it is way toooooo cool! But it goes even with this kit....so who knows.
Zoom in and check out the fibers and flowers and chipboard and papers and well all of it.

First I took off the top hardware, took the clock works out.....
took off the first updated look....
then I sanded.....and sanded.....and sanded!!!!

well only sorta loved this clock.
it was a gift.......
a neato collectable from the Bradford Exchange
well.........it screamed ALTER ME!!!!
so I did ....a few years ago...

well......I got bored looking at them
they were so....so......YESTERDAY!
(like that has ever bothered me bofore)
so....now I have completly taken it apart this time.
(last time I made it so that it could revert back to the
great collectable it was...)

I have been trying this card for a while with out
much success. Today I did it in this
neato blue and I love it!
nothing fancy....versamark, inks, chalks,ribbon, stamps,
and using the mat tools from SU to make a circle with the paper punch
..... ta-da!!!!
