I have been so into knitting and cards and boxes that I
have not been doing my main love....so here are a couple of
pages I have finally finished. really sorta on a new road on these....
first...a two page layout with the main colors being different...but patterns the same
I like the digi of elements overlapping on eachother...so tried that on the second page....

autumn at Nettie's

the color that Katrina posted yesterday reminded me of the vibrant color that this tree turns each fall.
this Japanese Maple has special meaning for us. It was given to Matthew on his first birthday. And planted on that day. It does do a funny "sneeze" each fall. One day we look out and it is totally vibrant and then the next morning .....it is nekked..........Thanks for posting the great silk Kat......I almost missed a photo of this years "post sneeze"

bison are tough....to scrapbook

while we were totally impressed with the bison at Yellowstone...
and I love this picture that Kim took.......what does one do with a bison?
so once again I took an idea from a digi page......and advise from Loretta-in quilting if you dont like the fabric it just isn't cut small enough- I had paper from last months Making Memories Kit that I couldn't figure out what to do with it....so I cut .......and an idea from Christina----butterflies can go ANYWHERE!!! and....from Katrina----homemade glimmermist....used that on the title....and from Roxanna.......to get out of my box once in a while :)

Saturday was such fun....we did a little halloween card and
a wonderful fall card. While the Halloween card is not my fav....I learned a couple
new ideas/techniques. The fall card.....I fell in love with .We even used the new shimmer paints......I so am getting into the shimmer/glitter thing........also I keep having close encounters with orange
this year and loving every encounter. I so enjoy learning new things and expanding and jumping out of my box!!!

plumbing and scrapbooking?

how do you ask are these two items related?
well......this is the story......
My husband is out moose hunting
the drain became clogged and sprung a leak at the same time
(only at my house)
so I had to fix it.
so I fixed it....but dear hubby didn't have sand paper
that is needed after one cuts a pipe...
I didn't want to go to town just for sandpaper so I went into my scrapbooking "room"
cause I knew it would be there!!!
the sandpaper is next to the paper towel under the sink....
paper towel is the leak test....

and the white theme you see in this room.............
well it is that way throughout my house.....
kinda a daycare proof color

well gotta go clean up the room and me and get ready for daycare.....ta!

I was just "blog crawlin" (thanks for this Loretta- I shall never go to bed on time again) and decided to check out this digi site. another digi inspired

well......the coolest thing about this page you can barely see. I used the scor-pal and made frames around all the pictures. The font cut by wishblade create and cut. the "document" is just facts and details about Old Faithful. Also the record of the first pioneers who "found" old faithful.
the laundry list tag.......has some facts about how the early pioneers used old faithful as a laundry...... oh I had a very theraputic time "de-stressing" the "document"
