I had a hard time deciding what to use with these pictures. Went with these colors and flowers and frills ....because I felt they were in such contrast with the subjects that they actually like eachother.....whatcha think ?

I do like digi because even when it is done I can go back and change it....no adhesive issues.

Sunday creating

 

This layout I learned about different tools I hadn't tried before. This one only took an hour to do. I really like it. I did another page of the same pictures ....but is was an "early" attempt....and well...it just probably wont make the final cut!

I am not sure if it is the amount of choices out there or if I am just not very good at this mode of scrapbooking, it just takes a long long time. As I do these photos I also get held in a memory daze...that could be some of the time issue. My note book that I used in Madagascar, that I am using for journaling. I have kept in a plastic baggie and when I take it out I can still smell Madagascar..........I than God today for my sense of smell....

this picture is so so special to me. I will be doing another page of this visit and it will have the journaling....pray for this woman and he dr. husband.....they have the skills to save many many people...but no meds or diagnostic tools.....they are trained on many machines and are ready if they can ever get them

I just realized how bit this project is

 

I was going to make one album of Madagascar. Silly me. It will have to be volumes. Maybe one for each week. Maybe. Have to investigate if I need to have them all done at the same time so they all match, how many pages in each one.....

so here is one that I did tonight. and again I have stayed up way too long...nighty-night

back at it

 

I am finally getting back to my Madagascar pages.....these are still the hardest pages to process and put down on "paper" I think I am going to just scan and copy my journal and put it in the back of the book...along with all my paper "things" I brought back

as soon as I post this.....

 

I am off to my scrapbook area!!!! but just had to brag about this.. It is from a kit I bought at Knit-Picks....and I have enough yarn to probably make two more!!!! too cool.....this one is for me.......

why I have been absent

I have not posted for a really long time!! the reason is this blanket. I made it for Matthew. But the problem.....I couldn't decide which yarn.....what color.....or what pattern...

This turned out like I wanted....but it was a real time issue....started about six weeks ago.....size 7 needles.....18 skeins of superwash wool from knitpicks....... 70" long and 36" wide.....

now I am off to make a hat......

I wish for all to have a very Holy Christmas Eve and a Merry Christmas

I have had issues with this pattern. The sweater had to go in time out a few times. But I figured it out. My first lace pattern.

I am still learning and still lost at the same time......this is alot harder for me than "standard" scrapbooking...... I just cannot seem to get some of the techniques....like snapping a picture into the template and have it fit the template and then there are masks........but I just keep on keeping on......maybe they will someday take less than days to create

today was a great day....most are .....but today a bunch of friends came over for the monthly "club" meeting.... Laura inspired us......(Thanks Laura) today we played with the quilters bargello (spell?) technique.....and this is where I took it tonight..... Thanks for looking......

I had a thought....at about 3 a.m. the other morning.....and this is kinda what it was......I paper pieced these x-tra toughs....they seem to go with the "favorite thoughts" from su.....the wood grain emboss is from T Holtz...... thanks for looking.....
think they will be fun to sell at bazaars and such..........

each time I do a page I learn something new about digi stuff......
it takes a long time for each page at this point....as I am still a newbie at digi scrapbooking and this album I am doing......is making me go to my knees all over again
as I reflect on the adventure I had in Madagascar.....and the adventure I took in my faith

I finally had to go do some shopping and get some real digi stuff.....Christina's kits are totally fun to work with....love the elements....love the colors.....

finally after two years

 
I am getting started on putting together all my pictures from Madagascar. I have the whole summer of no work....this is a good time....I have decided that it will be less expensive to make a digi book than try and print off ALL the pics and THEN try to scrapbook them...
I dont think this page is finished but it is started.....
